Jefferson Hills has close proximity to the cultural, educational, and recreational attractions of a large metropolitan area. The Mon-Fayette Expressway travels on a north/south route to the Borough. The extension of the Mon-Fayette Expressway from Jefferson Hills to downtown Pittsburgh and Monroeville is in the final design phase. The Southern Beltway meanwhile will travel east to west from Pittsburgh International Airport to the Monongahela River Valley. The beltway specifically will connect PA Route 60 with the Mon-Fayette Expressway near Finleyville, PA, which is just south of Jefferson Hills.

Century III Mall

Located just minutes away in neighboring West Mifflin, Century III Mall boasts five department stores, over one hundred specialty stores, and a number of personal and professional service businesses. Many establishments populate the spacious Food Court and several restaurants are located in the mall.

Adjacent to Century III Mall are two large shopping centers, Southland and Century Square, making the Lebanon Church Road and the Route 51 corridors major commercial districts. Restaurants, banks, electronics outlets and food stores are established in the area. The Southland Movie Theatre has nine screens of first run movies while the Maxisaver Cinema, showing second runs, has a total of 12 screens.
